ROLE PLAYBOOK

Student Portal Playbook

The student portal lets you check your own school record online — your released grades for the school year, a summary of your attendance, and your current enrollment. Once your school gives you a login, you can sign in from any browser. Here is how it works, in plain language.

????
This portal is just for you. It always shows your own record and nothing else — and it shows grades only after your teachers’ work has been officially released.

Is this guide for you?

Yes, if you are a learner and your school has set you up with a portal account. If you are a parent or guardian looking at your child’s record, use the Parent Portal Playbook instead.

Getting access

You do not sign yourself up. Your school creates your account from your learner record and links it to you. Here is the flow:

  1. The school sets up your account

Your school provisions a portal login from your learner record. It is built from your email address, so the school needs a current email for you.

  2. You set your own password

Your account starts with a temporary password you never need to see. Open the sign-in page and use Forgot password to set a password only you know.

  3. You’re ready to sign in

From then on, log in with your email and your password.

Signing in

Go to your school’s ERPat sign-in page (your school will share the link) and log in. The student portal lives at the address school/student. If your school sent you a direct link, it takes you straight there after you sign in.

????
First time or forgot your password? Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and follow the email instructions. Your username is your email address.

What you’ll see

Your portal shows your own record for the current school year:

Your released grades

Your grades for the school year — shown only after the school has officially released them.

Your attendance summary

A summary of your attendance: how often you were present, absent, late, or excused.

Your enrollment

Your active enrollment for the school year — your grade level and section.

What you won’t see — and why

Only released grades
Teachers encode grades and a school head reviews and releases them. You see a grade only after it is released — never a work-in-progress score.
Only your own record
The portal is built from your own account, so it can only ever show your record. There is no way to reach another learner’s information.
????
Seeing a “no record” page? That means your login is not yet linked to a learner profile in the system. It is a quick fix on the school’s side — ask the registrar to link your portal account to your learner record.

Troubleshooting

Your account is not linked to a learner yet. Ask the school’s registrar to connect your portal login to your learner record.
Grades appear only after the school head releases them for the quarter. If they are still being finalized, they will show once released. Your attendance and enrollment can appear before grades are released.
Your school controls whether the student portal is switched on. If it is turned off, the page will not open. Ask your school whether the student portal is enabled.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page and follow the email instructions. Your username is your email address.
