What this module does
The Compensation module is where you prepare and finalize employee pay in ERPat. It brings together everything a Philippine payroll team needs in one place: pay runs for each cutoff, individual payslips with earnings and deductions, mandatory government contributions, salary records, and the BIR reports you file at year-end.
It reads your finalized attendance, schedules, leaves, and each employee's compensation setup, then computes gross pay, statutory deductions, taxes, and net pay for you. You review the results, make any adjustments, approve the payslips, and release payment — with a clear record of every step.
Who uses it
- Payroll Officers who prepare cutoffs, validate figures, and generate payslips.
- HR Officers who maintain salary grades, salary history, and employee earning and deduction templates.
- Finance and management approvers who review, sign off, and authorize the release of a payroll.
Regular employees do not open this module. They receive their payslips through their own profile and email.
Key areas
You reach these pages from the left menu under Compensation.
- Payrolls — Create and process a pay run for a cutoff, then generate its payslips.
- Commissions — Record sales commissions that flow into payroll as earnings.
- Earnings & Deductions — Set up recurring allowances, bonuses, loans, and contribution templates per employee, plus their categories.
- De Minimis Benefits — Track tax-exempt benefits against the BIR annual ceiling (₱90,000).
- Salary History — Keep an approved record of every salary change per employee.
- Wage Summary — Review consolidated wage and payroll figures across employees.
You will also find supporting tools reached from these pages or from the employee profile: a Contributions calculator (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, GSIS), Salary Grades, Payroll Adjustments, BIR Reports (Form 2316, Form 1601-C, annualization), and the Alphalist export.
Related modules
- Attendance and Schedules feed worked hours, overtime, holidays, and night differential into each payslip.
- Leaves supply paid time-off values used in pay computation.
- Finance receives the posted payroll as expenses and provides payment methods and BIR tax tables.
- Team Members (HR) holds each employee's job and compensation profile, and shows their compensation tabs.
Because Compensation depends on these areas, always confirm attendance is finalized and employee compensation records are up to date before you start a pay run.
