The Production module turns raw materials from your Inventory into finished goods. It ships as two layers you can enable independently: a lightweight Base Production area for straightforward manufacturing, and an Advanced Manufacturing area that adds work orders, quality control, requisitions, costing, labor tracking, compliance, and engineering change control.
The two layers at a glance
The essential loop: define Work Centers, build a Bill of Materials (components + routing), and run Manufacturing Orders that consume materials and produce finished goods directly in Inventory. Includes an overview dashboard and production reports.
A deeper shop-floor toolkit: multi-level BOMs, Work Orders with routing, Quality Control (plans, inspections, NCR, CAPA), Material Requisitions & issues, Costing (standard vs. actual variance), Labor & Downtime, Compliance Documents, and Engineering Change Orders.

The 60-second mental model
You set up Work Centers once. For each product you build a BOM (its components and routing). To actually produce, you raise a Manufacturing Order against that BOM — when it completes, ERPat automatically consumes the components and produces the finished good in Inventory, keeping on-hand balances correct.
