About this role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated System Analyst / QA Documentation Intern who is currently taking BS Information Technology (BSIT), BS Information Systems (BSIS), or a related IT course.
The intern will assist in testing and reviewing business systems, documenting system features and processes, preparing tickets for bugs and improvement requests, and supporting actual system implementation activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to software quality assurance, system analysis, business process documentation, data preparation, and client-facing system support.
This internship is ideal for students who want to understand how business software is developed, tested, documented, implemented, and supported in a real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in manual QA testing of new and existing system features.
Review system workflows and business processes to identify possible bugs, errors, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement.
Perform functional testing based on provided requirements and test scenarios.
Create clear, complete, and organized tickets for bugs, feature requests, and system improvements.
Document testing results, observations, and identified issues.
Prepare and update user manuals, guides, process documentation, and other system-related materials.
Assist in encoding, importing, organizing, and validating actual client or business data.
Check data accuracy and completeness before and after data imports or system updates.
Assist in preparing test data and test scenarios for system validation.
Support system demonstrations, user training, and client onboarding activities when needed.
Coordinate with developers, system analysts, QA personnel, and project leads regarding testing results and system updates.
Assist in monitoring and documenting the status of reported issues and requested improvements.
Follow proper data privacy, confidentiality, and security practices when handling company or client information.
Perform other system analysis, QA, documentation, and project support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in BS Information Technology (BSIT), BS Information Systems (BSIS), or a related IT or business technology course.
Willing to learn software testing, system analysis, business processes, and technical documentation.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing system behavior and data.
Able to write clear instructions, reports, documentation, and issue descriptions.
Comfortable using web-based applications, spreadsheets, and documentation or productivity tools.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to follow instructions and document findings accurately.
Organized, responsible, and willing to learn.
Comfortable working with actual business system data while following confidentiality and data-handling requirements.
Previous client-facing or project experience is an advantage but not required.
