Job Description

The Guest Service Associate represents Hotel Marciano to guests throughout their stay. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and coordinating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction

    • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure.

    • Handle check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying identification and processing payments.

    • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.

    • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.

  • Front Desk Operations

    • Manage reservations (phone, email, walk-ins).

    • Maintain accurate records of room occupancy and guest accounts.

    • Assist with pre-registration and room blocking for reservations.

    • Ensure adherence to cash-handling and credit-checking procedures.

  • Coordination & Support

    • Communicate guest needs to housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments.

    • Assist with luggage handling and transportation arrangements.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby area.

  • Sales & Service

    • Use suggestive selling techniques to promote hotel services (e.g., dining, events).

    • Provide recommendations for local dining, entertainment, and attractions.



REQUIREMENTS

Education: At least a high school diploma; a degree or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.

Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Professional Appearance: Neat, well-groomed, and presentable at all times.

Flexibility: Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Team Player: Works well in a team-oriented environment and can collaborate effectively with colleagues.
